Cursive - The Storms of Early Summer: Semantics of Song
This is one of those CDs that is perfect background music for reading a
book, typing some emails, or just sitting around staring at the ceiling. I
guess this falls under emo, although I think it's time to make some new
catagories for this heavily over-populated genre. This Nebraska quartet
enthralls you early off with beautiful guitar parts linked with halfway
screamed vocals, making you ponder the words at points. I actually took
the time to read the lyric sheet, and I am glad I did. These lyrics rival
those of current Jets To Brazil frontman Blake Schwarzenbach. One of the
greatest things about this CD is the lack of dead space between tracks.
The musical flow goes almost undisturbed throughout, putting the icing on
the cake so to speak. Get this now.
